The Details
Pilates is a system of exercise comprising 34 mat based movements. Initially developed to support and rehab dancers and circus performers, Pilates has become the go to workout to build core strength and improve flexibility.
Pilates exercises are progressive and can cater to all levels of experience and activity. Each exercise can also be easily adapted to accommodate injuries.
Classes are slower paced than your usual gym work allowing the mind and body to engage with the movements.
This leaves you moving more freely and with less pain - as well as strong.
These classes cater to a people active in a wide variety of sports including running, football, hurling, HYROX, tennis, squash, rowing, rugby, and golf.
Meet the Teacher
I'm Daire Halpin - an opera singer and mammy to two lively kids. I recently retrained as a Pilates teacher (REPS and ITEC certified) and Physiotherapy Assistant.
I'm also the founder of Sheela.ie - a company that promotes Pelvic Health Education for Women.
I'm passionate about the benefits of Pilates. Pilates focuses on building strength from the core outwards for maximum mobility and flexibility. This means strength without stiffness or pain.
And that is something everyone deserves.
